About Fencing Essex

My Name is Hamish and I have over 25 years experience in the fencing industry. I qualified with a degree in agriculture from New Zealand before moving to the UK. I take pride in every fence erected and use the most up to date equipment ensuring that I am able to offer a quality product at the lowest cost. I have spent my life around animals and have learned how different animals behave and what fences are needed to offer a professional stock fence for your animals.

Kiwi fencers are taught in the rugged NZ landscape, where fencing is under a lot of stock pressure due to high volume of livestock. So it has to be built strong and has to last. All new fencing ideas come from NZ due to the high number of animals and extreme weather.

I live and work in the same area as you and have built an enviable reputation over the years and would welcome the chance to discus your fencing or ménage project.

My work is fully guaranteed and I am covered by a comprehensive 3rd party insurance policy. Every fence I erect is different and over the years I have learnt how to overcome any obstacle. Most of my work comes through recommendation and I personally manage every job.

I am also experienced in ménage construction and landscaping. I have assisted in golf course construction and many smaller garden projects.

Fencing Essex And Our Clients

I understand how important it is that all equine, livestock and agricultural fencing is safe and secure and have had first hand experience with most animals. Equi-fencing and post and rail fencing are currently the most sustainable, safe and secure types of fencing available and with Fencing Essex you know your fence is going to be installed to the highest standard. The timbers we use at Fencing Essex are made from the best and most hardwearing treated wood and are guaranteed for 15 years.

Electric fencing is also a very popular type of temporary division fencing. Planning grazing is an important part of good paddock management and animal health. Dividing your paddocks with temporary division fencing is a cost effective solution to ensure that your paddocks are kept in good condition and your animals are safe. Electrical fencing uses white plastic or wooden posts and you have four different choices of fence material

  • Galvanized wire
  • poly wire
  • tape
  • rope

Paddock maintenance is a very important part of keeping your paddocks and animals healthy. I have a special expertise in horse paddock maintenance and understand the issues of smaller landholdings. I work with individual horse owners, small holders, large and small estates owners as well as the County Council. I cater for landowners who have small areas of land and up to 100+ acres. I only use the best equipment which enables me to deliver an efficient and effective service. Freedom from weeds and grass diseases is an essential element of quality pasture which I can help provide with the right form of treatment.
